MEXICAN AMERICAN UNITY COUNCIL, INC. (MAUC)
APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT & CEO
The Mexican American Unity
Council, Inc. (MAUC) Board of Directors has
appointed Fernando S. Godinez as the new
President & CEO. Godinez was previously MAUC’s
Vice President of Finance and has been with the
organization since 1996. He brings over 25 years
of experience in the field of accounting and
finance, non-profit management and academic
credentials. As President and CEO he will
oversee the operations of MAUC a multi-funded
CDC. Godinez will also oversee MAUC’s
subsidiaries which deal with property management
and development in the areas of low income
housing tax credit programs, education and
social services. Mr. Godinez is a graduate of
Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi with a
Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
Since its inception in 1967, MAUC has remained
committed to improving opportunities and
promoting economic development in the low to
moderate income households of San Antonio. MAUC
aims to achieve community economic development
through social services, education and advocacy.
MAUC is committed to economic self-sufficiency,
using its financial, political and social
resources toward community economic development
and the creation of affordable housing to afford
Hispanics the opportunity to experience
productive lives.
